They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but for some, including myself, we sometimes can’t find the time for it in our busy schedule.
Coffee & Tea
Some of us rely on a cup of coffee to fuel us throughout the morning which is why I believe in the importance of a good quality, enriching, energizing cup of coffee.
The Root
The formulation of this company was hugely inspired by my East African heritage as my family is originally from Eritrea.
In East African countries the traditional coffee ceremony involving roasting the green coffee using traditional methods (usually using a small coal-based stove), grinding (on majority of the cases by hand) and brewing it using a pot that is made of clay daily. There is always different kinds of snacks but popcorn is a must.
The Why
I have grown witnessing & enjoying such a beautiful ritual of preparing coffee from start to finish and enjoying every sip when I was old enough, I was always fascinated by how raw coffee beans could be roasted and blended into such rich tasting, aromatic, authentic coffee
The How
I have then developed an idea how I can develop this beautiful ceremony and wonderful coffee taste in to business idea.
Starting from my study of economics at a-level which then continued into my studies at City University where I study Economics with Accounting. One thing I have learnt, is that a key criterion for a successful business is to look for a gap in the market and there is one for a company that specialises in the production of authentic east African coffee.
The Vision
Starting this business enabled me to incorporate my knowledge of economics and business operations that I have acquired over the past few years.
It is with this knowledge of business operations, my fascination in my culture and also my father’s expertise in coffee blends, that I bring to you Moke drinks.
